I grew up in Mississippi and was heavily influenced by Delta Blues and jazz music, inspiring me to do abstract art. My undergraduate degree is a BFA in Studio Art, focusing on painting and printmaking, from Louisiana Tech University. I went to graduate school at Arizona State University, where I obtained an MFA in Painting and Drawing. In graduate school, I was inspired by the desert. I also explored relief printing and experimental photography. Currently, I'm working on screenprints with vintage photos at my home-based studio in Pittsburgh, PA. I have extensive experience in the fine arts world including solo and group exhibitions. I also have worked in the independent film industry and have an interest in documentaries.
